Cuba´s Communist Party (PCC) on Monday strongly rejected the arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin issued by the International Criminal Court in March 17.

PCC´s International Relations Department Head Emilio Lozada wrote on Twitter that it´s a double-standard decision and is politically motivated, which constitutes a flagrant violation of the principles of International Law.

On March 17, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for alleged war crimes involving accusations that Russia has forcibly taken Ukrainian children, as well as for Putin´s commissioner for children´s rights Maria Lvova-Belova.

Commenting on such a decision, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that the ICC’s decisions have no meaning for Russia and its possible arrest warrants are legally void
