The chief White House health adviser, epidemiologist Dr. Anthony Fauci, denounced in the Senate that he received death threats because he has spoken falsehoods in the application of that policy.

This was announced this Tuesday by the Spanish news agency EFE.

It also revealed that a man was arrested because he tried to murder him a few days ago.

And he stressed before the Upper House Health Committee that he has received death threats, harassment to his family and obscene calls.

Dr. Fauci had a tense racket with Republican Senator Rand Paul during an appearance on the Committee.

This legislator accused him of attacking scientists who disagree with him and held him responsible for the deaths of more than 800,000 Americans since the beginning of the pandemic.

There, Fauci said that on December 21st, the police in the state of Iowa arrested a man who was traveling from Sacramento, California to Washington to assassinate him.

On his behalf, he regretted that Senator Paul used that epidemic for his political game.

This is not the first encounter between them, because in a similar audience last November, Paul hinted that the National Institutes of Health, under the responsibility of the epidemiologist, funded an investigation in Wuhan, China that resulted in the new coronavirus.

At the same time, EFE reported that the United States broke, this Tuesday, a new record of hospitalizations with more than 145,000, according to data from the Department of Health and Human Services.

In total, 145 982 patients are hospitalized, of which 4 462 are children.

This figure exceeds 142,273 admissions on January 14th, 2021, the highest number recorded since the beginning of the pandemic.

Along with Fauci, Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), also appeared before that Senate committee.

She received accusations for alleged confusing recommendations issued by that organization recently.

The doctor reaffirmed that "the CDC’s main objective is to translate science into the best recommendations for everyday life."

At the same time, she recalled that the quarantine for asymptomatic patients is five days, a decision made due to lack of personnel in hospitals due to infections among her personnel.

If the well-known invasion of the U.S. to other nations of the world were to be verified, it would make terrorism even more official for the highest echelons of Washington.
