Venezuela's Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez toured the Socialist Agroecological Agroindustrial Plant at the Fabricio Ojeda Endogenous Development Hub in Catia, Caracas, highlighting the country's commitment to sustainable agricultural innovation. The facility, built entirely with Venezuelan engineering, stands as a model of eco-friendly food production.

During her visit, Rodríguez emphasized the plant's role in producing biofertilizers to strengthen organic farming and ensure access to healthy, nutritious food for the population. "We're promoting a harmonious relationship with nature while making quality food affordable," she stated.

Key Features of the Plant:

  • Monthly production capacity: 160,000 liters of agricultural inputs

  • Six specialized stations producing biovitamins, biohormones, biocontrollers, and biofungicides

  • 100% Venezuelan-developed technology supporting organic agriculture

In a Telegram post, Rodríguez described the facility as emblematic of President Nicolás Maduro's Gran Misión Madre Tierra Venezuela initiative, which prioritizes food sovereignty through environmentally conscious methods.

Sustainable Agriculture in Action

The plant's outputs align with agroecological principles, offering:

  • Chemical-free alternatives for crop nutrition and pest control

  • Support for small-scale farmers transitioning to organic practices

  • Reduced environmental impact compared to conventional inputs

This project marks a significant step in Venezuela's pursuit of food self-sufficiency through ecological innovation, demonstrating how developing nations can implement sustainable solutions tailored to local needs.

The government reaffirms its commitment to combining technological advancement with environmental stewardship for national well-being.
