Puebla Group builds Progressive Manifesto
especiales

A very active member of the Group, Samper was in charge of drawing the conclusions of the participants on the Manifesto, a proposal under construction, which seeks through progressivism to consolidate Latin America as a zone of peace and to put an end to inequality through the solidarity reactivation of the economy, among other things.
With the need to strengthen integration, the interventions were diverse but all agreed on pressing issues such as the concern for access for all to vaccines against Covid-19.
The document is proposed as an initiative to try to start looking for common denominators within progressivism, referring to the strengthening of the State, the control of the market, the organization of civil society, explained Samper as drawing conclusions of the Manifesto.
He also emphasized proposals from several participants on the role of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, the digital gap, the need to be united and reinforce integration, as well as not leaving out sister nations such as Cuba and Venezuela.
