Vietnamese Communist Party Leader Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Cuba
The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), To Lam, today reaffirmed "the consistent stance of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam of solidarity, support, and companionship with the brotherly Cuban people."

Vietnam is willing to support Cuba within its capabilities to overcome difficulties and promote the country's development, ratified the party leader upon receiving Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, who traveled to this capital as a special envoy of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Cuban Government.

High-Level Visit Underscores Special Ties
The visit of a high-level special envoy from the Cuban leadership on this occasion "demonstrates the special consideration, as well as the ties of affection, loyalty, and purity that characterize the relations between the two Parties, States, and peoples," he emphasized.

Informing Rodríguez about the results of the recently held 14th National Congress of the CPV, he stressed that this important event not only evaluated the path taken but also outlined the country's strategic orientation until 2030, with a vision toward 2045.

"In that foreign policy, relations with traditional friendly countries, particularly with Cuba, always occupy a top priority," emphasized To Lam, as quoted by the VNA news agency.

Cuban Envoy Highlights Vietnam's Development as a Model
The special envoy of the PCC and the Cuban Government, for his part, expressed his firm conviction that the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the CPV will serve as a compass guiding Vietnam toward a new era of development and the successful fulfillment of the goals of prosperity, democracy, equity, and steady progress toward socialism.

He further highlighted that the experiences of the Indochinese nation in party building and economic development constitute a valuable source of inspiration and a suitable reference model for the Cuban Revolution in the current stage.

Meetings with Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
Rodríguez also held meetings with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his counterpart Le Hoai Trung, in which both sides reaffirmed the importance they attach to preserving and strengthening the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation.

In the conversations with the head of government, satisfaction was expressed regarding the development of bilateral ties in various fields, and there was agreement that economic and trade cooperation should take more decisive steps, in accordance with the solid political relationship of mutual trust and the potential and strengths of each country.

Focus on Solar Energy and Medical Cooperation
The two parties—according to the same source—agreed that the development of solar energy aligns with Cuba's urgent needs, and Minh Chinh reaffirmed that Vietnam will continue sharing experiences in renewable energy development to support the production and life of the Cuban people.

He also highly valued Cuba's strengths in the field of medicine and proposed intensifying collaboration, technology transfer, and the creation of joint ventures for the production of vaccines, biological products, and new-generation specialized medications.

Foreign Ministers Coordinate on Priorities
Meanwhile, during the meeting between foreign ministers, the results of commemorative activities held on the occasion of the *"Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year 2025"* were evaluated, and it was reaffirmed that Party-to-Party diplomacy is the key political basis guiding bilateral relations.

Hoai Trung and Rodríguez agreed to strengthen the central role of the two countries' Ministries of Foreign Affairs in coordinating and supervising cooperation mechanisms, particularly in the implementation of priority projects in the fields of food, energy, and pharmaceuticals.

Shared Global Vision
Additionally, they shared assessments of the current international context, marked by rapid, complex, and unpredictable changes, broadly concurred in their vision of global affairs, and reaffirmed the importance of maintaining peace, stability, respect for international law, and the peaceful resolution of disputes in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
