Delegates and students from Vietnam and Cuba posed for a commemorative photo during the exchange program.

Amid the joyful atmosphere of nationwide celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), and the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 – December 2, 2025), the Vietnam-Cuba Primary School in Hanoi had the honor on August 28 of welcoming the Cuban Children’s Art Ensemble La Colmenita (Little Beehive). La Colmenita is the first children’s art troupe to be recognized by UNESCO as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors. The group visited the school to interact with its teachers and students.

The event was attended by representatives from the Embassy of Cuba in Vietnam, members of the Cuban Children’s Art Ensemble La Colmenita, Cuban teachers and students, along with administrators, faculty, and numerous students of the Vietnam-Cuba Primary School.

During the exchange, student representatives from both Vietnam and Cuba expressed their happiness and excitement at the opportunity to connect, learn from one another, and share with international friends. Their innocent words and warm embraces clearly reflected a sincere and pure friendship, emotions born in the hearts of children without distance or borders.

The atmosphere grew even more lively with the vibrant dance and music performances by La Colmenita, offering students joyful and energetic artistic experiences.

In response, the children of the Vietnam-Cuba Primary School presented special performances of their own, extending warm greetings and affection to their Cuban friends. Enthusiastic applause, eager expressions, and innocent smiles created a welcoming and heartfelt environment.

The exchange not only provided memorable moments of artistic enjoyment, it also helped children from both countries develop deeper understanding and strengthen bonds through music, dance, and a pure spirit of friendship. The event served as a clear demonstration of the special Vietnam-Cuba relationship, a bond nurtured and passed down to younger generations.

Children from both nations took part in numerous special performances throughout the exchange.

This artistic encounter left a lasting impression on the hearts of children from both countries. Through such activities, the young generations of Vietnam and Cuba will continue to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, preserving and carrying forward the flame of solidarity so that the friendship between the two nations remains evergreen and enduring.
