A Small Miracle at the Airport
especiales

The boy approached and asked if he could play La Boheme by Aznavour. Upon hearing the first chords, he asked, "Can I sing?"
And when the music burst forth and that surprising voice emerged, there was a general pause in the airport as if an invisible conductor had asked for silence.
A woman opened her mouth wide; others stood up from their seats; those in the back came closer; some girls began to dance. Some kissed, someone was crying...
Only the opening sounds had passed when a girl searched through her luggage and, flute in hand, came forward to join the performers. At that time, there were three young people giving away their music to anyone who wanted to listen.
Cell phones appeared everywhere to record that small miracle.
What is described are the images captured by one of those phones, whose owner decided to upload it as a reel to Facebook to multiply that beautiful moment that, based on some visual clues, seems to have taken place in the public piano area of Charles de Gaulle Airport, in Paris.
The precision of these details matters little, nor will we ever know the names of the three young people, but we do know that, at least for those minutes, they were happy, enjoying performing and giving beauty to others without any other interest.
Scenes like these will probably be repeated with some frequency, although those who commented on the video insisted on the exceptional nature of the performance. In any case, it is not a major event, and no headlines will be dedicated to them.
But while War Ministries are reborn, Gazan children die of hunger, and so many hands reach out asking for help to survive, it's a little comforting to know that these things also happen, perhaps as a foretaste of another world.
Among the many comments, one said: "These videos restore my faith in the world. Thank you for sharing so much beauty."
