Las Avispas Aim for Third Consecutive Win in National Series
especiales

With their cannons loaded and the scent of gunpowder in the air, the Santiago de Cuba Wasps seek their third consecutive victory today in the 64th National Baseball Series.
The indomitable team has begun the campaign as if it were a naval battle: they twice sank the ship of the Isla de la Juventud Pirates in their own Guillermón Moncada fortress, unleashing a relentless offensive that has already tallied 29 runs, 21 hits, and eight home runs.
The offensive feast has had a clear captain: Yoelquis Guibert, considered one of Cuba's best players, who has accumulated three home runs and eight RBIs.
On the other hand, inclement weather once again caused disruptions, leading to suspensions in the Artemisa-Mayabeque and Camagüey-Guantánamo matchups. Furthermore, the game between Matanzas and Ciego de Ávila was called early in a scoreless tie. Like the other postponed games, they are scheduled for a doubleheader today.
