The general director of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, Dmitri Rogozin, published on his Twitter account on Thursday the video where the now U.S. president, Joe Biden, affirms that it was he who suggested bombing Belgrade in 1999.

"Can we remind Biden who the war criminal is?" Rogozin wrote, noting that the U.S. president "killed thousands of civilians."

"I suggested we bomb Belgrade. I suggested sending in American pilots and destroying all the bridges on the Drina," Biden says on the recording.

Recently, the U.S. president described his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, as a "war criminal" in relation to Moscow's military operation in Ukraine.

For his part, the Kremlin's press secretary, Dmitri Peskov, pointed out that "this rhetoric by the head of a country whose bombs have killed hundreds of thousands of people seems unacceptable and inexcusable."

On February 24th, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced "a special military operation to defend Donbass" with the aim of "protecting people who have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years".
