White House Attacks Stephen King: "He Is Out of Touch with Reality"
especiales

The White House lashed out against American author Stephen King following his criticism of U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a recent interview, King asserted that in a period of about 30 years, many American citizens will try to hide that they supported Trump in the presidential election.
"There's a story about the home run that was heard around the world," the writer said. "There are... tens of thousands of people who will say, 'I saw [baseball player Bobby Thomson] hit that home run,' and there were only about 5,000 people in the stands that day. So I think the reverse is true [with Trump]. In twenty or thirty years, when I'm dead and you're old, I think a lot of people will say, 'Well, I never voted for Trump,'" stated the writer, who is a well-known critic of President Trump.
Subsequently, on September 1st, King continued, suggesting that Trump's team may not receive as much electoral support as it expects.
"Trump and his greedy cronies may get a rude awakening despite their efforts to manipulate the 2020 election. They could be swamped by a blue wave [in an apparent reference to the color used to designate the Democratic Party]. Americans are waking up to the fact that Trump is turning the American dream into a nightmare," he wrote on his X account.
The White House Responds
When commenting on the writer's statements, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson stated that King "is out of touch with reality."
"Given that Stephen has spent so much time writing fiction, it's understandable why he would be out of touch with reality," she told Fox News.
