London, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) Vaccination has reportedly reduced the risk of developing long Covid-19 symptoms caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus

Scientists from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom, warned that people aged 40 and older, obese persons, smokers, and women are more likely to suffer the disease for a long time.

Individuals with asthma, type 2 diabetes mellitus, depression, anxiety, and coronary heart disease are other groups at risk, the experts stated, cited by JAMA Internal Medicine journal.

The study showed that vaccinated individuals had a significantly lower risk of developing Covid-19 compared to unvaccinated people.
