Venezuela's Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, confirmed today that the US military aggression resulted in 100 deaths and a similar number of wounded.
"Venezuela was the victim of a barbaric, treacherous attack, where so far there are 100 dead and a similar number of wounded. Terrible, the attack against our country," he stated during his program Con el Mazo Dando.
Cabello referred to the US attack as a "drama," and proclaimed that "what was done is inhuman, and in the end they decided to take President Maduro kidnapped."
Furthermore, he expressed his support for the acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, who, he assured, "is working on the mission to achieve the return of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores to the country."
The minister reiterated that the Venezuelan head of state was "kidnapped, he is a prisoner of war, him and Cilia," while categorizing the actions perpetrated by the United States against the Latin American nation on January 3rd as "grave."
Likewise, he stated that "the Bolivarian revolution is a guarantee of peace in the country," and highlighted the unity around Delcy Rodríguez and the people.
