The so-called "ceasefire proposal" put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump on social media is “fabricated” and designed to deflect attention from Washington’s recent humiliation, according to a report.

Quoting a well-informed source, Fars News Agency said the Islamic Republic has not received any formal or informal proposal for a ceasefire, neither directly nor through intermediaries.  “The fabricated media narrative about a ceasefire is meant to divert attention from the blow suffered by the United States,” the report quoted the unnamed official as saying.

“Iran will respond not with words, but through action on the battlefield, and will soon demonstrate the falsehood of these claims to the Zionist regime.”

Trump's claim, posted on his Truth Social page, came hours after Iranian armed forces pounded an American military base in Qatar with a barrage of missile, all making direct impact.

The strikes were in response to the U.S. aggression against three peaceful nuclear sites, amounting to blatant breach of international law.

The direct American intervention in the Israeli war on the Islamic Republic came nearly nine days after the regime faced heavy blows from the Iranian missiles and drones over its unlawful and unprovoked aggression against the country on June 13th.
