especiales

The extensive low-pressure area located in the Bay of Campeche has gained organization in its storm zones over the past few hours, becoming Tropical Depression Two last afternoon, the second depression of the current hurricane season, the Institute of Meteorology reports in its Tropical Cyclone Advisory No. 1.
It adds that at 5:00 p.m., the central region of this system was located at 19.3 degrees North latitude and 94.2 degrees West longitude, approximately 385 kilometers east-southeast of Tuxpan, Mexico.
It has a central pressure of 1011 hectopascals and maximum sustained winds of 45 kph, with higher gusts. It's moving west-northwestward at a rate of 11 kilometers per hour.
Over the next 12-24 hours, this system will maintain little change in its movement and forward speed as it gains organization and intensity, becoming a tropical storm.
This tropical depression poses no threat to Cuba, although its outermost cloudy bands will maintain cloud cover in the westernmost part of the country with isolated showers and rain, the report concludes.
The next tropical cyclone warning will be issued at 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
