Tribute of remembrance to Lázaro Peña

The Cuban Workers' Union and its national unions pay tribute of remembrance to Lázaro Peña González due to the celebration on May 29^th of the 114th anniversary of his birth.

This opportunity the anniversary has a special connotation since this year celebrates the Centenary of the First Communist Party of Cuba created by Julio Antonio Mella and Carlos Baliño.

Lázaro Peña founded the The Cuban Workers' Union on the basis of that party, such as unity and mercantilist ideas, with which he united all the unions into a single workers' organization.

The thinking of the Captain of the working class is present throughout the country's union movement.
