Not all that belong are here, but the ones here, do belong! Génesis Galerías de Arte ended 2022 with the opening of a mega-exhibition in Galería Habana: Génesis XX22. The exhibition treasures productions in different formats and stylistic implications by nearly four dozens of artists within the company’s catalog. And no one should be surprised with the fact that some of these artists are among the greatest artists of Cuba.

Experienced creators, of whom some have been awarded with the National Plastic Arts Prize, join emerging artists of a growing impact in the current panorama of the Cuban culture.

The convergence of several generations may well be labeled as the core thread of the exhibition. The organizers have stated so and I quote: “we aim to focus on the continuity trend among different generations which make up the recent history of the Cuban Art. Simultaneously, we affirm this is like a concatenation of diverging events, and sometimes, conflicting, arisen from a different aesthetic contemporaneity, which is based on historical facts, social events, politics, ecology, the body, gender identity, and race, as well as the speculation within the field of aesthetics and formal autonomy.”

This is, in fact, a multiple proposal, very attractive to the public who wants to know about the art done here and right now. The exhibition will be open until February and can be visited from Monday to Friday, 10:00-16:00 hrs.
