Spain gets close to three million syringes to Cuba

Madrid, June 16 (Prensa Latina) The fund collecting campaign destined to buy three million syringes to Cuba gets close today to meeting the goal with very promising figures.

Sodepaz(Solidarity for Peace and Development), the main promoter of the initiative, said to Prensa Latina that so far they cash 237 thousand 725 Euros allowing to buy two million 852 thousand 710 syringes.

Solidarity to Cuba State Movement(SCSM), charged with launching the idea, pointed out that they are just missing 12 thousand Euros to get the help for the vaccination campaign moving ahead in the Caribbean island against Covid-19.

At the same time, SCSM and the Cuban Residents Associations Federation (CRAF) are gathering up detail for a number of solidarity demonstrations starting June 19, claiming the stop of US blockade.

According to sources, this Saturday, June 19, a Cuban Residents in Europe on-line meeting will take place in Paris, France, to reaffirm the scheduled meetings for the 20, 22, and 23 June, in Spain.

As closing, on June 23, a great demonstration is called for in downtown Puerta del Sol in Madrid at 19:30 local time,for support to Cuba and repudiation to US blockade.
