Russia Unaware of Ukraine’s Alleged Peace Plan

‘We have heard statements by President (Vladimir) Zelensky about various steps related to the peace plan.

But everything President Zelensky has said, so far, he has said it without taking into account the current realities which have been constructed, and cannot be ignored’, the spokesman stressed.

On December 22, The Wall Street Journal reported that Ukrainian authorities are working on the details of proposals for a peaceful solution of the conflict, which was scheduled for next February.

According to the note, the team of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky reviewed a strategy for peace negotiations and it consists of 10 points, ‘no, we don’t know anything about that’, Peskov assured.

According to TASS news agency, Zelensky, before members of both houses of the US Congress, said that he discussed with his US counterpart, Joe Biden, Kiev’s proposals for resolving the Ukrainian conflict.

Biden received the Ukrainian president on December 21 at the White House to organize joint strategies, 10 months after the Russian special military operation .

As a reaction to the visit, the chairwoman of the Federation Council (Russian Senate), Valentina Matvienko, ruled out the existence of prerequisites for a peace talks and described the meeting as a screen with a view to continue arms supplies.
