Recovery actions evaluated in disaster area in Matanzas

Havana, August 22 (RHC)-- Cuban authorities checked the progress of recovery work in the industrial zone of Matanzas, devastated by a major fire earlier this month.

The president of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH), Antonio Rodríguez, explained the details of an investment to ensure the water supply for the Antonio Guiteras thermoelectric plant and the surrounding population.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Construction, René Mesa, pointed out that the entities of his agency are working on various activities to mitigate the consequences of the incident, such as the hauling of debris and the recovery of steel.
