Raúl Castro chairs meeting to analyze the national situation

Army General Raúl Castro, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, presided over a meeting to analyze the situation in the country, where the Plan for the Prevention and Control of the New Coronavirus was reviewed.

During the meeting on Friday, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of the national economy and the measures to mitigate its effects on the Cuban population were evaluated.

Participants included the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, the Second Secretary of the Party, José Ramón Machado Ventura, other members of the Political Bureau and senior State and Government leaders.
