Moscow, Jun 14 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed the integration of aerial unmanned vehicles into the country's unified airspace, the Kremlin website reported today.

“In order to ensure the safe operation of unmanned aerial systems, I took steps to integrate unmanned aircraft into Russia’s unified airspace, including digital control with navigation, landing, surveillance, communications and counterattacking their illegal use.” According to the government, the intention is to expand the introduction of drones, as well as to consolidate the purchase of such domestically produced systems in the state civil order until 2030, attracting leasing companies with state participation.

Together with the Defense Ministry and the Russian Security Service (FSB), approaches will be changed to “consider the use of digital geospatial data from drones,” the report added.

Earlier, on April 28, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov at a meeting with President Putin at the Rudnevo industrial park assured that the country will produce 18 thousand drones by the end of 2026.

“Our goal is to reach by 2030 a production of 32 thousand unmanned aerial vehicles, not counting ultra-light drones weighing less than one kilogram,” he said.
