Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel stated that inter-party relations are the cornerstone of the bond between his nation and China, according to local media reports today.
The head of state affirmed that "on the strength of these ties, both countries are building a Community with a Shared Future." He made this statement during his meeting with Li Zongyuan, Director-General of the Museum of the History of the Communist Party of China.
Accounts of the exchange, published in the digital and print editions of Granma, Juventud Rebelde, and other periodicals, report that Díaz-Canel expressed gratitude for the hospitality he received during his visit to the Museum last September.
He also highlighted the significance of Zongyuan's participation in the First International Granma-Rebelde Festival and praised the connections between the Museum of the Communist Party of China and the Communist Party of Cuba.
For his part, Li Zongyuan emphasized that the objective of his visit was to reinforce cooperation in the study of the history of both countries, their revolutions, and their communist parties.
He further stated that this marks the first visit of a delegation from that institution abroad, and Cuba was the first country selected for such a visit, occurring in the context of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cuba.
