Pakistan aims to vaccinate 70 million people this year

Islamabad, May 3 (Prensa Latina) Pakistan aims to vaccinate against coronavirus 70 million people before the year ends, it was reported on Monday in Islamabad.
 
The goal is to immunize 300,000 people daily, Dr. Faisal Sultan, Prime Minister Imran Khan's special health assistant, said adding that Pakistan will receive 19 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines by June.

The nation informed this Monday that 4,213 new cases and 79 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

The death toll increased to 18,149 and the number of people infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus rose to 834,146.

Laboratories made almost 12 million PCR tests to detect the virus.

Current active patients total 87,953 and 5,377 of them are critically ill. The number of recovered patients rose to 728,044.
