The Cuban Baseball Federation informed that pitcher Frank Abel Alvarez and position player Guillermo Garcia will formalize their contracts with Japan's Chunichi Dragons professional team in the coming days

The news was confirmed to the digital media Jit, the news organ of the Cuban Sports Institute (INDER), by its treasurer, Luis Daniel del Risco, who added that pitcher Yariel Rodriguez and catcher Ariel Martinez will remain in the Chunichi Dragons team.

Del Risco told Jit that the contract renewal of Pinar del Rio's right-handed pitcher Raidel Martinez is being evaluated and his compatriot and reliever, Livan Moinelo, might be certified again with the SoftBank Hawks.

The official's statements are in addition to those made by National Baseball Commissioner Juan Reinaldo Perez, who announced some changes in the technical staff of the team that will participate in the First Pan-American Youth Games.

In this case, Perez told Jit that Coach Eriel Sanchez will be joined by Assistant Coaches Rafael Muñoz, Alain Alvarez and Raciel Sanchez.

The new commissioner added that former outstanding baseball players Frank Camilo Morejon, Alexander Malleta and Carlos Tabares, as well as the experienced pitching coach Jose Elosegui, will also join the team.
