Tickets are now available for "To the Rhythm of Heritage," the title of the upcoming theater season by Cuba's National Folkloric Ensemble (Conjunto Folklórico Nacional de Cuba, or CFNC). The performances will take place on October 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26 at the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater of Cuba.
Julio César Orduñez, a soloist dancer with the CFNC, informed the Cuban News Agency that the presentations scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. and Sundays at 5:00 p.m. will hold many surprises for the audience.
According to Orduñez, the first part will feature the world premiere of “Echoes of Dahomey,” a choreographic journey through Cuban dances of Arará influence. This production connects the largest of the Antilles to the current Republic of Benin, aiming to preserve the memory of an ancestral legacy and project it into the present through a renewed scenic language.
