Havana, Jul 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuba´s Public Health Ministry (MINSAP, in Spanish) on Saturday called for individual and family self-responsibility in face of the increased dengue cases reported so far in Cuba.
José Ángel Portal, MINSAP Minister, insisted the disease, like many others, may also cause death.
At the slightest symptom, especially between the third and seventh day of the first symptoms including constant vomiting, edema or swelling, severe abdominal pain, rash, drowsiness and bleeding, people should go immediately to hospital.
Confronting the dengue epidemic in Cuba is everyone’s task, so it is critical to act responsibly, both in communities and in workplaces in order to prevent the Aedes aegypti mosquito to spread, MINSAP reported.
