Brasilia, Jul 13 (Prensa Latina) Former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is holding a meeting on Wednesday with Rodrigo Pacheco, president of the Brazilian Senate, coordinated by the legislators of the Workers' Party (PT) in that assembly.

So far, Pacheco has not yet decided whom he will support in the October presidential elections.

In the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, for which the senator was elected, the Social Democratic Party closed an alliance with the PT, which will support the aspiration by Alexandre Kalil, former Mayor of Belo Horizonte, to the government of the territorial division.

According to the agreement, the PT will also support the candidacy of Alexandre Silveira, Pacheco’s ally, for his reelection to the Senate.

Pacheco alluded the pre-candidates’ responsibility during the period leading up to the elections, especially Lula and Bolsonaro, who lead with clear difference the vote intentions for the next election.

Since Monday, PT pre-candidate Lula is visiting Brasilia to fulfill a series of political commitments, as well as to exchange opinions with actors, and business and economic sectors.
