Lula could run as presidential candidate in 2022
Previously, the Workers' Party founder told in other interviews that candidacy is not his personal priority and he would wait up to 2022 to decide.
Lula asked to focus on vaccinating Brazilians and making a monthly R$600 (US$110) emergency relief viable.
In addition, he called for financial relief to entrepreneurs, and also a job creation policy.
'I do not need to be a presidential candidate. Obviously, I am not going to say no or yes. I will wait until 2022, we will need to know what the political scenario will be like,' Lula responded to RTP.
For Lula, a global governance had to be created at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and the UN Secretary-General António Guterres should have called a special meeting to discuss on coronavirus and vaccine financing.
'It is not possible that the world does not meet to discuss how to deal with Covid-19,' he stressed.
