Moscow, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) The president of the Lugansk Central Electoral Commission, Yelena Kravchenko, reported that the district commissions are ready to hold the referendum on the republic’s accession into Russia.

Each of the 461 district entities received the necessary ballot papers and technological equipment, Kravchenko said in a statement posted Thursday on the Lugansk Telegram channel.

The official also reported that the number of polling stations in Russia, where thousands of refugees from Lugansk live, has increased to 201, so that they can express whether they are willing to join the Russian Federation or not.

The authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics and the administrations of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions decided to hold referendums on joining Russia as subjects of the Federation.

Voting in each of these territories will take place in unison between September 23rd and 27th.
