Kamala Harris Interrupted at Event: "You Are a War Criminal"

A book presentation event for '107 Days' by former US Vice President Kamala Harris in Chicago was interrupted several times on Saturday, prompting security to remove several protesters.

As Harris was discussing her memoir with journalist Michele Norris, a female protester began shouting from the audience, leading attendees to chant, "Get her out!" Security personnel quickly escorted the woman out of the venue.

Footage from the event shows there were at least two more interruptions. "Your legacy will always be genocide," a man yelled. "You are a war criminal," declared another woman. Both individuals were also removed from the hall by security guards.

Responding from the stage, the former Vice President stated, "I am not the President of the United States. If you want to go to the White House and talk to him, do that," a remark which drew applause from the audience.

This is not the first time Harris has been confronted at a public event. Since beginning her national tour at the end of last month, the Democratic politician has faced other similar interruptions during promotional events for her book, which details the ins and outs of her 2024 presidential campaign.
