Iranian Armed Forces Issue Stark Warning Over Potential US or Israeli Aggression
Iran's Armed Forces issued a severe warning of a comprehensive military response in the event of aggression by the United States or Israel, emphasizing that a confrontation would not be localized or brief but would extend across the entire Middle East region.
The spokesperson for the Iranian Army, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, stated that the Armed Forces are prepared for a "quick and painful" response to any attack and that "the scope of the war will encompass the entire geography of the region, from the Zionist entity to the countries where US bases exist."
"All US Forces and Allies in the Region Within Reach"
"If the enemy commits any imprudence, we will respond quickly and decisively," Akraminia declared on state television, warning that "all US forces and their allies in the region will be within range of Iranian missiles and drones."
The spokesperson noted that Iran has already developed operational plans for all possible attack scenarios and rejected the notion that the United States could launch a limited offensive and end it within hours without a robust Iranian response.
Akraminia emphasized that US military bases in the Middle East, as well as aircraft carriers deployed in the region, are within range of Iranian missiles and drones, and that any attack on the Islamic Republic "would not be in favor of the United States."
Context of Rising Tensions
This announcement comes amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran, following a warning by US President Donald Trump that a "large military armada" led by the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln is heading toward the region and that "time is running out" for Iran to begin negotiations on its nuclear program.
International analysts warn that a direct conflict between Iran and the United States could trigger a wider regional war, with significant impacts on security, energy markets, and global trade flows.
Military Posturing and Strategic Stance
In addition to verbal warnings, Iranian authorities have reinforced their military capabilities, including the incorporation of additional drones into the armed forces and the scheduling of naval exercises with live ammunition in the Strait of Hormuz—a strategic global oil trade route.
Iran maintains that it does not seek to initiate a conflict but insists that its sovereignty will not be violated without a firm response, stressing that meaningful negotiations are only possible if perceived military threats and pressures from Washington cease.
