The Institute of Social Information and Communication (ICS) today received the fourth technological donation from the People's Republic of China, aimed at strengthening the national television transmission systems, the institution reported from its Facebook profile.

The handover was formalized through the signing of the Handover and Receipt Act by the Chinese Ambassador to Cuba, Hua Xin, and the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Deborah Rivas, in the presence of ICS President Alfonso Noya Martínez and the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich.

Prior to the ceremony, authorities toured the areas where specialists from both countries worked for four months on the installation and adaptation of the equipment, which will improve the quality and security of television broadcasts.

Channels such as Multivisión, Tele Rebelde, and Canal Caribe are among the main beneficiaries, as they now have renewed technical conditions to handle special coverage and emergencies.

The Director General of Cuban Television, José Carlos Zaragoza Suárez, explained the tests carried out in this final stage and highlighted the coordination achieved between the Chinese and Cuban work teams.

Minister Arevich and Vice Minister Rivas thanked them for the donation and emphasized its importance amid current complexities, as a demonstration of the trust and solidarity of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Chinese government, and the Chinese people.

Hua Xin expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work carried out and assured that this type of cooperation will yield future benefits for both nations.

He also reported that tomorrow he will pay tribute to the fallen Cuban combatants in Venezuela.
