Hollywood Icon Denzel Washington to Receive Cannes Lifetime Achievement Award

Famous Hollywood actor Denzel Washington has starred in several notable films, including A Soldier's Story, Cry Freedom, Malcolm X, Flight, The Tragedy of Macbeth, American Gangster, and the upcoming Gladiator 2. He has received Academy Awards for his powerful performances in the films Glory and Training Day.
Recently, Washington acted in the new film titled Highest to Lowest, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee. The film was screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. During the event, Denzel Washington was honored with the Golden Palm Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to him by director Spike Lee himself. The audience at the festival gave him a standing ovation in recognition of his contributions to cinema.
Earlier in the program, Cannes Film Festival director Thierry Frémaux showcased a special video featuring clips from some of Denzel Washington’s most iconic films, highlighting his long and successful career in the film industry.
