The current leader of the iconic Cuban group, Samuel Formell, commented on the next edition of the Salsa Festival in Cuba, scheduled for February 2026:
"This year, the Salsa Festival in 2026 is celebrating its 10th anniversary. For us, and for Maykel as well, it has been an achievement to be able to maintain this Festival for so many years. It’s such an important event for Cuban music, especially dance music, because we know that once a year all the most important groups in the country come together and give that gift to the people of Cuba. The Festival has also grown with international artists, who have been invited, so, truly, congratulations on the 10 years of this Festival, to Maykel for maintaining it. We've been to all 10 editions with a very nice and engaging audience. See you in February."
For his part, one of the most popular Van Van members, the charismatic Robertón, expressed:

"Ten years is easy to say, but it's not easy. We're talking about a Festival that began as a dream for all Cuban musicians, and it's already an achievement: 10 years of existence. For us, Van Van, it's an honor to be participating year after year. Thanks to Maykel Blanco and all the organizers. It was made possible through the unity of all Cuban musicians. This Festival is possible, and I hope it lasts 60 more years."
This year, they assured, "the Cuban music train" will return to the stage of one of the most anticipated events for dancers in Cuba and around the world.
