Heads of Culture from Russia and Cuba analyze joint projects

The Ministers of Culture of Cuba and Russia, Alpidio Alonso and Olga Liubimova, agreed on film projects during a meeting held in Saint Petersburg.
According to Liubimova, who met with Alonso on the sidelines of the 10th St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures, they discussed various aspects of Russian-Cuban cooperation, including cinema.
Cuba will host a Russian Film Week from September 19 to 22, and the Russian Film Festival was held in Havana in April.
On her Telegram channel, the Russian minister wrote that the cycle of specialized events in Cuba will continue with the Film Week of the Russian film studio Mosfilm. In addition, both countries are carrying out negotiations on the creation of joint films.
Liubimova added that Havana and Moscow are also thinking about exchange tours with the participation of the National Ballet of Cuba.
The 10th St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures opened on September 11 and concludes this Saturday, September 14. The main theme this year is “Culture of the 21st century: sovereignty or globalism?”
Cuba participates with a delegation headed by the Minister of Culture, as well as other leaders of the sector such as the president of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry, Alexis Triana.
