The National Ballet of Cuba will have three special performances next weekend at Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater, where the prestigious company will present Don Quixote Act I and the Swan Lake Act II, two gems of its classical repertoire.

On Friday, August 1, Gabriela Druyet will play Kitri and Anyelo Montero will portray Basilio, while Anette Delgado and Dani Hernandez will perform Odette and Siegfried, respectively.

On Saturday, Grettel Morejon and Yankiel Vazquez will take the lead roles in Don Quixote, while Druyet and Montero will perform the Swan Lake.

According to the information, the casts will be reversed next Sunday, with Morejon and Vazquez in Swan Lake and Delgado and Hernandez in Don Quixote.

Featured dancers such as Nadila Estrada, Alejandro Alderete, Laura Kamila, Luis Fernandez, Yotuel Mendez, Dairon Darias, Erick Solorzano, and Roque Salvador will be part of the shows.

Directed by prima ballerina Viengsay Valdes, the National Ballet of Cuba will return to the Dominican Republic on September 6 with “Carmen,” inspired by the homonymous novel of by French writer Prosper Merimee.
