The XXVII International Crafts Fair, Fiart 2025, will officially open today at the Estación Cultural de Línea y 18 in Havana, with the satisfaction of having secured a larger lineup of participants than the previous edition.

Open to the public from December 6th to 21st, the event will feature the presentation of the Por la Obra de la Vida (For the Work of a Lifetime) award to seven great Cuban artisans and artists this Friday, alongside a fashion show and performances by pianist Alejandro Falcón and Los Muñequitos de Matanzas.

This year's fair will host 151 national exhibitors and creators from Ecuador, Colombia, India, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela.

Major projects in environmental design and craftsmanship of high artistic value will also be present, highlighted Martha Ibis Sánchez, Director of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Goods (FCBC), to the press.

A distinctive element, she added, is the revival of this edition's dedication to Cuban provinces. The public will be able to enjoy authentic offerings, including marblework from Granma, fiber art from Las Tunas, and ceramic creations from Trinidad.

Within the context of the fair, the best proposals in the product and stand categories will also be recognized. Meanwhile, Matanzas, the province to which this year's fair is dedicated, will arrive with a significant display, granting this edition a superior and distinct visual appeal.

Admission will be affordably priced, while minors, pregnant women, and adults over 65 are exempt from payment.

The fair also proposes the theoretical event Craftsmanship: Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development, from December 9th to 11th, and the inauguration of an exhibition by artist Agustín Drake on the 14th at the Collage Habana Art Gallery.

Fiart, according to the Organizing Committee, is more than just a space for promoting and commercializing the works of our artisans and artists; it is a cultural gathering that unites the efforts of its participants and organizers for the enjoyment of all types of audiences.
