Representatives from 35 countries, approximately 1,800 exhibitors from 300 companies, and more than 8,000 people are expected to attend the Expocaribe International Fair, which begins in this eastern Cuban city on Monday.

Madelaine Cortes, Director of Foreign Trade and Investment in this province and president of the Organizing Committee, stated that Cuba is represented by 235 state-owned companies and 51 private companies from all territories.

Cortes also noted that 340 entrepreneurs will be seeking opportunities in the “Massage in Hand” format, as part of an event that, until June 27, anticipates greater participation and results that boost Santiago de Cuba and the country’s eastern region.

She explained that the International Fair begins with about 331 participation contracts, 32 percent more than the previous edition.

The trade fair features more than 3,000 square meters of exhibition space, several embassies have stands, and the “Made in Cuba” event will promote products with export potential.

Trade representatives from Trinidad and Tobago, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are prominent on the international side.

The Cuban representatives include delegations from the Santiago Chamber of Commerce, Holguin-Las Tunas (east), and Camagüey-Ciego de Avila (center).

Its organizers recently announced that Expocaribe 2025 focuses its agenda on issues related to the country’s energy matrix, multi-destination tourism, healthcare, food, transportation, artificial intelligence (AI), and networking, among others.

It also plans to launch new products and services.
