Cuban Raidel Martinez registered his eleventh save of the season in the Yomiuri Giants' 6x4 victory over the Hanshin Tigers in the Japanese Professional Baseball League.

At the Tokyo Dome and with deliveries of up to 95 miles per hour, the lanky right-handed closer stroke out the three batters he faced, in an episode of relief.

Martinez, who has accumulated eight saves in his last nine outings, left his effectiveness at 0.00 and reaffirmed his position as the second best closer in the Central League.

So far, the right-hander has appeared in 14 games, and in 13.2 innings he remains untouchable. He also has one win and two hold points (entering the game and keeping his team's lead).

He has allowed only seven hits, no home runs, nine strikeouts and four walks.
