Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel thanked President Claudia Sheinbaum for her solidarity and support towards the island, according to a release from the Cuban Presidency today.
Díaz-Canel also stated that "the level of political dialogue with Mexico is excellent," during a meeting in the capital with the Executive Director of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), Alejandra Del Moral Vela.
High-Level Working Visit
At the Palace of the Revolution, the Head of State received Del Moral Vela on Thursday afternoon. She traveled to Cuba leading a delegation for a working visit.
The report indicated that "the leader highlighted the relations of brotherhood, respect, and understanding that have always existed between Cuba and Mexico."
Furthermore, he commented that the solidity of official ties "has to do with bonds between peoples, between families."
He also highlighted the collaboration with AMEXCID, particularly in agriculture, and spoke of continuing to expand working relations.
Commitment to Continued Collaboration
For her part, Del Moral Vela stated that "for her team, it was a luxury to be in Cuba," and referred to the "successful project that has been consolidated with farmers in the provinces of Artemisa and Mayabeque."
She said it would be extended to other Cuban provinces and revealed details of another program related to "the installation of solar panels in Cuban hospitals."
The executive director "ratified the interest in continuing collaboration with Cuba, a country united to Mexico by strong and historical ties," the official release noted.
