With the participation of Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, a solidarity event in support of the Venezuelan cause against U.S. interference in the region is taking place today in Havana.
Also present at the gathering were members of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee, including Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister, and Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization, along with other representatives of the country’s top leadership and the capital’s authorities.
The event serves as a condemnation of the U.S. military deployment in Caribbean waters, seen as a clear threat to Venezuelan sovereignty, while simultaneously urging Latin America to remain vigilant against the expansionist interests of U.S. imperialism.
Addressing delegates from various nations attending the III International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Leftist Parties and Movements, the gathering positions Cuba as “one of the epicenters of the struggle for the justice of the peoples.”
The event is held in front of the equestrian statue of Libertador Simón Bolívar, located in Havana’s Vedado district.
