With the presence of Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, a ceremony reaffirming the island's solidarity with the people of Palestine is taking place at the José Martí Anti-Imperialist Tribune.
Two years after the most recent escalation and the consequent genocide perpetrated by the State of Israel, Cuba is demanding an immediate ceasefire and condemning the complicity of US imperialism with the criminal policy of the Zionist forces.
In this manner, Cuba once again condemns the criminal actions of the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinians; an issue that has shaken the world and was evident in the speeches of several heads of state and high-level representatives at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The largest of the Antilles maintains its firm stance in pursuit of a comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on the creation of two States. This would allow the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and to have an independent and sovereign State within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
