Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel criticized today the US attitude after the shooting against the island's embassy in the northern nation, whose authorities keep Havana without any information about the incident.

In his official Twitter account the head of state assures that 'not sharing all the information with the attacked country is equivalent to tolerance and revives the history of terrorism vs #Cuba'.

The president described as an 'act of hate' the terrorist attack against the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Washington that was the object of an armed attack by an unidentified individual in the early morning of April 30.

Diaz-Canel considered the event consistent with the hostility of the current U.S. administration.

In another tweet, the Cuban president referred to the resistance of the Cuban people to situations like this since the triumph of the Revolution in 1959.

'Neither#blockade nor attacks can threaten us or stop our progress#Cuba celebrates the #Workers Day saving lives with a legacy of #Fidel: #Revolution is to fight for our dreams of justice for Cuba and for the world. # We are Cuba ? #We are continuity', wrote the president.

In statements to the press this Thursday, the island's foreign minister, Bruno Rodriguez, affirmed that it is an obligation of all states to adopt the appropriate measures to protect diplomatic legations in their territory against any type of damage or attempt against its dignity.

Meanwhile, Cuba hopes that the investigation of the event will be accurate and quick and its results will be shared with the authorities in Havana.
