Cubans in Europe prepare solidarity cargo for Pinar del Río

Paris, Nov 4 (Prensa Latina) "Tons of Love for Pinar del Rio" is the name of an initiative that brings together Cuban residents in Europe whose aims are to support the victims of Hurricane Ian and also their country, promoters stated on Friday.

Speaking to Prensa Latina, José Conde, a member of La Estrella de Cuba Association in Germany, and Danilo Campos, a member of the Entre Amigos group in France, described the project as a modest action of great love for their compatriots.

The initiative, launched by the YouTube channel “Juntos por Cuba” (Together for Cuba), belongs to all those who want and can support with medicines and household items to clothes, toys, and canned food, they explained.

Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, and the United Kingdom are preparing solidarity loans to complete the shipment, which will be sent by air from German territory, late November or early December.

They expect that people and associations in Europe will continue to join the contribution.

According to Conde, “Tons of Love for Pinar del Rio” is linked to the next edition of the Meeting of Cuban Residents in Europe (ECRE), which will take place at Berlin on November 18-20.
