Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Tuesday thanked his Algerian counterpart Adbelmadjid Tebboune, people and government for "generous aid" sent to Cuba as a sign of the unbreakable relations between both nations.

On Twitter, the Cuban leader expressed all his gratitude for what he called “a new proof of the historic and unbreakable brotherly and solidarity relations” between Cuba and Algeria.

On Monday, the Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez also expressed his deep gratitude for food assistance batch sent to Cuba, a gesture he considered as a confirmed historic brotherhood, solidarity and mutual support relation between the two nations.

The Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) announced on Sunday the delivery of humanitarian aid to Cuba, a nation facing an economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.

The batch included basic products such as oil, sugar and many others.
