Cuban National Ballet Company on Asian Tour

The National Ballet of Cuba, led by Prima Ballerina and company general director Viengsay Valdes, is currently on an Asian tour including China, Vietnam and Laos.

The tour started on May 12 in China with 18 performances in 13 cities, starting May 16 at Zhengzhou’s Henan Art Center and concluding on May 24 at Beijing’s Poly Theater. This time the ballet will take Swan Lake to each Chinese stage. according to National Ballet Company’s press office. https://tinyurl.com/mr42avce

Performances will feature Viengsay Valdes, and first dancers Anette Delgado, Grettel Morejon, Dani Hernandez, Anyelo Montero and Yankiel Vazquez, along some newcomers.

The company will be in China till June 25rd and then will perform in Vietnam and Laos before returning to Cuba.

In November 2024, the Cuban National Ballet made a similar Asian tour taking pieces of its outstanding classic repertoire to the same three nations.
