The ceremony in the capital’s Colón cemetery also offered the tribute of the Cuban Firefighters Corps to their colleagues who fell in the fulfillment of their missions, reported national television.
This event began with the traditional pilgrimage, headed on this occasion by the Minister of the Interior, Major General Lázaro Alberto Álvarez, with the participation of the main political and governmental authorities of Havana.
The activity concluded in the Cuban capital the Second National Day of the Physical and Nautical Fire Protection System, as well as the National Week against Fires, which will close with an event in Santiago de Cuba’s port (east).
