Cuban basketball player resumes playing in Europe

Madrid, Mar 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Jasiel Rivero and the Hereda San Pablo Burgos basketball club will resume playing in Europe today against VEF Riga at the start of the Champions League playoffs.
Rivero will take to the field in search of continuing with the offensive contribution within the Burgos team, current continental champion and sixth in the Spanish League thanks to a balance of 15 victories and seven defeats.
Rivero assisted the Spanish team in getting to the first place of the initial initial group stage with an average of 11.8 points in five games and a record of 70.4 percent from two-point shots and 63.2 percent from the free zone.
The 27-year-old Cuban player has increased his numbers in the Spanish domestic tournament with 232 points in 20 challenges and 105 recoveries; in addition he presents an efficiency superior to 63 percent in shots.
Burgos will play on Tuesday at the Coliseum against VEF Riga, from Latvia, at the start of section J of the Champions League.
