Bingo, the latest album by acclaimed Cuban musician Alain Pérez, will be presented to the public this Saturday at Havana’s Karl Marx Theater, accompanied by a nomination for the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards, the artist announced today.
During a press conference at La Urraca Restaurant, the creator expressed his joy over the album’s outcome and the excitement it has generated among audiences, along with the happiness of being nominated for Best Contemporary Tropical Album.
While his fans await the concert date, online listeners are already enjoying this production of 11 tracks—infused with his energy, Cuban identity, and the music he dreams of sharing with his people.
According to Pérez, the album is “a song of joy, a reunion with the music I embraced as a child and the one I now showcase at home and abroad: mature, accomplished, and of quality.”
He emphasized that the difference between Bingo and his previous records lies in the artistic maturity he has reached over the years. Striving to improve the sound from one production to the next, he noted, remains one of his aspirations.
Recorded in Cuba, Spain, and the United States, this discographic proposal bears his signature along with contributions from other creators. It also features prestigious collaborations that highlight the current stage of his career and add a new dimension to the production.
Puerto Rican stars Gilberto Santa Rosa and Tito Nieves, as well as Cuban singer Issac Delgado, are among the guest artists.
“Bingo is a cry, a celebration, a metaphor of joy, a jubilation,” Pérez explained, pointing to the inspiration behind the album’s title.
He revealed that the upcoming concert on the 27th at the Karl Marx Theater “will be historic, unrepeatable, and unforgettable for me and for everyone who attends.”
This live musical experience will be recorded for a DVD release and will serve as an opportunity to explore new harmonies as well as revisit familiar ones.
Verónica Santiago, director of the Musicuba Agency, stated that it is a privilege for the label to have Pérez in its catalog, affirming that “Bingo will be a historic and grand spectacle in the artist’s career.”
“It is a privilege to accompany his trajectory and his work; he is pure sentiment and he is Cuba,” she added.
Meanwhile, Reinier Rodríguez, general director of the state label Egrem, stressed that the artist’s stage presence is transformative.
“For Egrem it is an honor to have a role in this album,” Rodríguez affirmed, expressing satisfaction over the Latin Grammy nomination and the high expectations surrounding the concert.
