Cuba wins five medals in Solidarity Games

Havana, December 15 (RHC)-- With the two medals won on Thursday, Cuba reached medals in the Kazan 2022 Solidarity Games, a water sports tournament in Russia.

According to Oscar Nuevo Reyes, technical-methodological director of high performance of Cuban sports, divers Prisis Leidis Ruiz and Carlos Daniel Ramos won bronze medals in the three-meter springboard and the platform, respectively.

Cuba already had two silver medals and one bronze medal in previous days, according to Jit, an institutional sports publication.

Those silver medals were won by Anisley García in the 10-meter platform and the artistic swimming mixed duet, while the bronze medal went to Carlos Escalona in the three-meter springboard. 

Cuba did not present any swimmers in Solidarity Games disputed with athletes from Russia, Venezuela and Ecuador
